For both married couples and families alike, Caleta de Fuste is a well-known holiday destination and provides a wide array of activities to amuse all age groups.

Created with families and children in mind, the resort of Caleta de Fuste, or El Castillo as it is widely known, is located only 10 minutes from the main air port of Fuerteventura. The resort features a large, man-made beach that is a safe place for swimming and sun bathing. An array of water sports is available down at the harbour and include jet skiing, deep-sea diving and a variety of boat trips. The infamous ‘floating shop’ is found here where children can feed the fish and purchase a holiday souvenir or two.

The actual holiday resort is comparatively flat with a background of Chipmonk Mountain which houses self catering apartments and villas. Bars and restaurants are located on the main street or in one of the two shopping centres. Delicacies ranges from Portuguese, Spanish, Mexican, French and English and there are fastfood restaurants offering take aways till the early hours of the morning.



Bars remain open until about three or four in the morning depending upon the time of year and many provide nightly entertainment like live bands and shows. If you want a late drink or fancy a dance then there are a few nightclubs that generally stay open until six or seven in the morning.



Since the resort was designed with both familes and children in mind you'll find a number of play parks over the holiday resort to entertain all age groups. Bouncy castles and other activities are normally seen in the nearby ‘Atlantico’ shopping centre and trampolines, mini golf and archery in the main town. So a great deal to do for the kids!

As all holiday attractions, like the Zoo and newly built water park, are within an hours drive of the resort, Caleta de Fuste makes a great base for a holiday and is becoming more and more popular each year and with cheap flights from most European countries will continue to be a popular winter and summer holiday destination.
